Featuring Hugo the Deer, and Ronald the Mouse

Ronald sat down at the dinner table, and put his phone down, looking rather serious.
“Why were you following me today?” He asked
Hugo was a bit confused, after all, he always looked like he didn’t pay attention to anything.
“Not completely sure to be honest, you’re so different from your father, it’s almost fascinating” Hugo said, while shaking the frying pan.
Ronald seemed to be quite sad with that answer.
“Am I… so different from him?” Ronald asked, while looking around, avoiding eye contact.
“Almost completely, You don’t seem to have any of his manners, let alone style.” Hugo said, while finishing the meal and putting on the table.
“What would I need to do to be more like him?”
Hugo didn’t answer, but somehow, the silence answered Ronald’s question, so, after the meal, Ronald took a trip to his father room, and searched for a flask his father hid away in a special box, but right as he found it, Hugo caught him off guard.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m just looking for a thing dad took from me last week” Ronald lied, trying to fool Hugo into going away.
Hugo looked around, and left, but Ronald found the box, grabbed the flask, and ran to the kitchen.
The next morning, Hugo took a sip of his morning tea, and it had a weird taste, but he drank it anyway.
After a few minutes, he felt a bit dizzy, and he took a seat before blacking out.
Ronald, using this moment, slowly merged with Hugo’s body, but not with his head, as it would be unfair to do that with him unaware.
Right after, Hugo woke up…
