When siege fire rained down upon the once-great kingdom of Aclacon, the invading Three-Feathers army was surprised to see its castle already laid in ruins long before their arrival.
They were puzzled, but nevertheless pushed on. The inhabitants who managed to flee or survive would spread out across the southern highlands in groups that shortly convened into villages and tribes.
Though victorious, the army of Folicoatls had suffered massive casualties. Upon looting the city of its treasures and knowledge, they returned, leaving Aclacon to burn.
Instead of celebrating, the soldiers only mourned their fallen siblings. Firmly believing the war to have been a pointless endeavor.
But across the bay, the Palace of Glass' court disagreed, as the books collected from Aclacon's royal library told of a way to harness and manipulate the arcane magic that permeated the very air, and of a mysterious underground system of caverns as large as the continent of Caerulia itself.
Two weeks have passed since the greatest nation in the continent fell to the Three Feathers' onslaught, and through it all, Featherians maintain the lie that they could easily do it again should another nation challenge their sovereignty.
This story follows a courier, hired by the nation of Mará, to deliver a letter to the Palace of Glass.
What seemed like a simple diplomatic mission has taken a turn... for the worse.
That's right baby! The first page of The Folicoatl Handbook! This one is a prologue accompanied by a little preamble of the general setting of this comic. And yes the Fallout New Vegas inspiration is very much deliberate :>
Please tell me what you think of both the story and the comic itself, I really hope to turn this into a regular thing :D
