"I once used to fear death, and the darkness that would come with it. The prospects of the religious that light is at the end of the tunnel seemed foolhardy to me -- childish ignorance to sequester away that instinctual fear of what comes after the end. I researched, I experimented, I researched for a means to live beyond finite years... And I did this with grace, and pride, for every discovery was something new and had unforetold benefaction for not just I, but my family and cherished.
"What I didn't account for was that beyond the weaving of our existence lies something more, a darkness more consuming than the night of our starry sky and the depths of what lie beyond our reach in this plane... A darkness who's lone light wove nightmares into my soul, and a chemistry and essence so unlike our own that my body became partly consumed with it... And with every waking moment that I had due to inaptitude to rest, I became more consumed by it... Its presence so unlike anything we know, myself a vessel through which I could feel it seeing into our realm... I could not help but succumb to itself, and feel my body becoming twisted and undefined, a knowledge so unlike what I once knew seeping in the crevices like a parasite.
"I have seen the light of this new presence -- this world beyond our own. I worship it, I pray to it, and it gives me power. I am unbound by this world's consequence, steeped in the true power of our bodies and souls... I am a beast and all should know this strength and knowledge -- that which lies beyond time and touch. All should be possessed by it... All should see the void."
