Did you do this using photoshop? If so, is the fog behind the tree done using a layer mask?

Yup, it's done in Photoshop and no, it's not layer mask, I just painted the base color with a big soft brush thats all :)

Thank you for the reply. I'm in a big learning stage myself with photoshop. Trying to improve with each and every image is quite a challenge.
