Still going through my giant sketchbook of gestures and working on gestures I liked but were considered either too basic or didn't contribute to whatever I needed to work on. I liked the gesture, and just eh, why not finish it? Thus, let's do the self-insert blue period picture that got shoved off for a while.

My username is Vaporeon249, but the longer one is actually Vaporeon Lugia Krabby, which is my name extrapolated to the alphabetical GS Pokemon list at the time. And weirdly, I got an entire set of water-dwelling Pokemon out of it. And more weird, none of these Pokemon are my favs. Okay, I do like Lugias (and any of the larger singleton Psychic Legendaries from the generations: Mewtwo, Lugia, Deoxys... you get the idea.) I did eventually learn to embrace my full Pokesona, and I love their personalities in their own little weird way. Thus, every once in a while, I will draw my full namesakes. My derp as heck Vaporeon, the stoic and cynical Lugia, and the firecracker Krabby. And then myself for good measure, because vanity is fun!

Anyway, traditional process of sketch, pencils, inks, scan. Lighter on the shading and keeping with the illustrative look as of late.
