Trial Surrounded by Vegetal Abstractions
So here is Trial, one of my small but growing group. He is in an alien realm, but serene. His eyes stare off, as far away as his mind is, yet his fist clutches in front of his chest. He is distantly mindful of his physical self still, yet not mindful of the immediate physical surrounding. His coloration shares no link to anything around him, though his patterns vaguely seem to, with their sweeping slightly blurred forms. A stunted plant of some kind shares his space, but does not manage to turn his attention. In total, the lack of interaction with his surroundings or the viewer may be a subconscious painting of my deepening feeling toward online FA community--as well as a subconscious hunger to create a point of order and structure that can stand immune to the source of much conflict and bickering in which it lives, namely this art site. Perhaps Trial is a representation of where or who I am supposed to be, yet avoiding.
This was started about two months or more ago. After finishing university semester, I can finish this and show it here. And I must say that is it a good thing to do so. It is good to make these things, good period. And yes, all that above really is relevant.
To be able to make you know how uploading is part of the creative process with this, that is so significant. Not writing the description or tags or selecting the options, just the putting up here, it is part of the art, inseparable and forever altered if the gallery options are ever changed. It is so significant choosing to upload in light of the recent FA Leaks/fighting/uncovering of very dangerous and disturbing things. Any action taken by any user these days leaves a significant mark on themselves, on others, and on the micro-culture of this site. And few marks these days can be made that are without some bad consequence. I do them myself too, but one point to grab is simply to live to keep doing good things better and more often. The other big point is to take from your personal use of the site and your involvement in this furry culture, conscious or not of it, the things that make you a better judge, and better wielder of wisdom. That's always a mystery, but you can keep rolling back the fog with wisdom and careful judgment. Doing this, making it, uploading it here, grounds me quietly. Trial is copyright me. He is mine. I like him.
A curious accident happened at one point with this work, here.
