Item: UIA-2246
Object Class: XXX
Containment Measurements:
UIA-2246 is located in the forest of the ■■■■■ region in Canada. Under no circumstance is any living beings, aside from the animals naturally found within, or around the forest, are allowed to step foot within the perimeter erected around the effected area that UIA-2246 inhabits. Any living thing that isn't a native, non-anthropomorphic animal to the forest, is to be shot and killed by sniper fire upon passing the perimeter, unless said otherwise by personnel with Level 5 clearance. Guards of Level 4 clearance are to be stationed at all times around the outside of the perimeter, and rotated out by day. Anyone that isn't Foundation personnel coming upon the boarder, is to be warded away, and told the area within the boarder has a deadly radiation problem that is under investigation by the Canadian Government. Flying surveillance equipment is used to monitor UIA-2246's movement and behavior. Non Foundation issued flying equipment is to be shot down via sniper fire.
Item Description:
UIA-2246 is a Canadian Bull Moose, standing roughly 6ft and 8inch. UIA-2246 doesn't display any abnormal behavior from that of a typical Moose. Though observations show that it does not have a need for eating, drinking or sleeping. UIA-2246 will spend its time wandering the forest, and sometimes lying down. During rut season, UIA-2246 doesn't display typical Moose rutting behaviors, and will just continue doing what it does every day. UIA-2246's anomalous traits only become apparent when a living thing not native to the forest enters the designated perimeter. No matter how far away from the subject UIA-2246 is within the perimeter, UIA-2246 seems to immediately be aware of their presence, and will begin to charge straight for the subject. Once UIA-2246 has reached its target, it will begin to stalk them. Due to its large posture, and not so subtle stalking behavior, the subject will often notice UIA-2246's presence. Most subjects don't notice anything immediately wrong, and just think it's a normal Moose just being curious. Though some have stated the way it stares at them so intensely through the bushes feels unnerving. UIA-2246 will continue this stalking behavior, watching the subject from a distance, or up close, as long as it thinks it is hidden well enough. UIA-2246 will even continue its watchful behavior once the subject has left the area. It will then stand at the edge perimeter, and stare off towards the subjects general direction, but not step foot past the perimeter. However, once the clock hits 12:30 AM Central Standard, UIA-2246 will enter its aggressive behavior. It will start making a charging B line towards the subject. It will keep going until it has reached the intended target in which at that point, it will begin to ■■■■■ ■■■■ the subject, until they are deceased. Bodies of subjects recovered have shown the causes of death to be massive internal bleeding via stomped in ribs, or blunt force trauma to the head. Only after the subject is dead, will UIA-2246 calmly return back to its designated area in the forest. All attempts to impede UIA-2246 from reaching its intended target, have thus far failed. Only leading to further result in casualties. All attempts to terminate UIA-2246 has also lead to failure, and more casualties.
What's been learned/Theories:
As of ■/■/2144, when UIA-2246 was first captured, it has breached containment 74 times. Further means of stopping anything non-native from getting into the perimeter is still ongoing. An incident report was made in which during a breach, as UIA-2246 was returning to its home, assistant researcher Norris went up to UIA-2246, and gave it a pat. UIA-2246 stopped walking, and lied down with its legs tucked in. Despite the escort teams demands, Norris continued petting UIA-2246 on its nose, neck, and side. UIA-2246 did not seem to react negatively, or happily to the affection, despite it seemingly choosing to lie down for more. This continued until Norris stopped patting UIA-2246, in which it then stood up, and resumed its walk home. Norris was heavily reprimanded, and assigned to a new UIA. It is theorized that UIA-2246 is some sort of spirit guardian that will protect a small portion of its forest at all costs, as it seems to act peacefully around creatures native to its area. And any non-structural man made object on the grounds within the perimeter, will immediately be noticed by UIA-2246 and destroyed.Learn more about the UIA-Foundation here:
