Kyohei Ishiguro's debut feature film was the unfortunate victim of pandemic-related delays in 2020, but if you manage to watch this, it's absolutely the perfect pick-me-up after a relentlessly depressing two years. If you're in the mood to watch a genuinely sweet teen romcom, I can't recommend this film highly enough. And even if you think your heart has been hardened to the point where nothing can sway you anymore, Words Bubbling Up Like Cider will probably still bring a smile to your face.
