The day started out rather strangely for Nick. His Wife was snoring rather loudly that morning, and her voice sounded a little deeper as they traded goodbyes on his way out for his day off. At first he thought that maybe Judy was coming down with something, then he got the phone call.
Having enjoyed his leisurely stroll on his way to his favorite coffee shop. Nick was not expecting Judy to call, not at all. The dutiful little bunny usually spent her days off working out and staying in shape. While he didn't mind, it had become so normal on a day like this that they'd just join up for lunch that a phone call was a very unexpected surprise.
"Nick?! Are you there? Wait, of course you are, you answered the phone! Argh I'm not okay!" Nick was taken aback as the voice on the other end sounded a little deeper than his wife's usual tone. Not wanting to insult a sick spouse, he held up his hand as if comforting her. " Whoa now, take it easy Carrots, what's got your tail in a twist? Are you sick, did you catch that seasonal flu?"
"This is so much worse than a flu! I can't explain... can... can you just meet at the coffee shop on Fifty-Third and Yakley? Actually, just meet me there."
Before he could respond the call ended, Nick was certainly confused, but he was not one to keep his woman waiting. So off he went to the Shrew Brew. A bit on the nose, but the best hot cup of joe this side of Zootopia. Speaking of coffee, he bought one and waited outside. He found himself looking up and down the street for a while before he sat down and closed his eyes. The various sounds of animals walking by provided a small amount of entertainment, gauging each and every sound and the difference between them all.
In the end Nick began listening for the small and familiar pads of rabbit feet. However, after a long while he noticed he couldn't sense it. Then, something strange approached, it sounded similar to a bunny, but it was heavier, slightly louder and spread-out way too far. It stopped right next to where he sat and Judy's deeper voice came through, but from much to high. "Nick?"
The fox opened his eyes and looked towards the voice. The body that greeted him was familiar, the clothes were definitely familiar because they were his, however as Nick looked up... and up. There she was, Judy Wilde, formerly Hopps, first rabbit officer of the ZPD, hero who solved the Night Howler case alongside her now husband Nicholas Wilde. However, this Judy was at least a full foot taller than he was, even Giant Flemish rabbits weren't much larger than a fully grown fox. Judy for one did not look happy, her ears were down, and she held her arm nervously. She had already done her freaking out before, and now she was confronting this new reality, for better or for worse.
The words that left Nick's mouth next, shattered her anxiety and calmed her nerves at least a little bit. "Are you alright?" Judy froze, the answer to that question was not a word or a phrase, but a long ramble about how she had discovered it all, unable to wear her own clothes now because they were too small. Even Nick's clothing was tighter than she liked on her larger body. "No! I am not alright Nick!" She sighed and looked him in the eye. He however didn't relent. "Well, you may not be a little bunny anymore, but let's see if we can figure out what happened, let's start with the police." Judy however was caught up in the moment. Nick's endearment, his concern for her, and his refusal to allow the situation to overwhelm him like it did her, she couldn't help the blush that came and the nervous smile that shined through. She rubbed the back of her head before Nick took the lead. Whether or not there was a solution, Judy knew that when they worked together, they could always find their own way through this new development.

We've done Haru and Legosi, now it's time for Zootopia's to get a taste. I think I'll turn this into a series. I'm sure there are plenty of characters that we can pull this off with and plenty of artists willing to do it.
