Who am I? Why am I here? What is it that I'm searching for in this strange place, day after day?

Trying to think of a title for this thing, I finally found a connection with Beagle's The Last Unicorn.

At the end of it all, Terra, though human was the last of her kind in a way. And a lot of the game with her is spent trying to find herself. Her mannerisms remind me so of the unicorn after she is turned into the Lady Amalthea.

Kefka is somewhat like the Red bull.. If he hadn't been insane, I'd have possibly considered him much like King Haggard, but that seems more Gestahl's bag.

and Maduin. I wanted a connection to her past besides the empire. A connection to her esper roots. Since Maduin (or Madeen as he is known in Japan) is her father, it seems to fit. I don't have a parallel for him bookwise, unless you count Nikos.. but I have no way to explain it.
