Clearer - a Thursday Prompt - humor
OK - serious stuff first. Tomorrow is 'election day' and I would like to say a word here.
In my lifetime - way back when - things were never so scary or hate filled as they are today. Life, as is now the case too, had its complexities - but we dealt with it. One of the things I love about being a furry, is the love I found within our community. That's why I am here. My first con was so incredibly wonderful.
Unfortunately, the outside world is beginning to creep in.
In here, I have friends - close friends - who represent every color of the rainbow, and that, to me, is wonderful. I will not, nor would I, try to tell someone how to live their life - but I also wish this not to be done to me, either.
Tomorrow is the election. Be sure to vote. How you vote is up to you - that's what this country is all about.
Serious stuff is now over - go and have a chuckle on me.

I don't agree with it either, but then I do think Heinlein was onto something with the concept that the franchise should be earned. And as I've discussed elsewhere voting in general should be made as simple and straightforward as possible, complexity just leaves it open to manipulation, or the plausible accusation of manipulation which is effectively the same thing.
Borderline truths? In the circles I partake in, we call that the Dictatorship of Relativism. But seriously, when you think your generation was all goody-two-shoes, you're basically lying to yourself. Even ancient Greek philosophers were decrying the degeneracy of their young'uns!
