Ouch. xD Yeah, I always started off with a charmander. I had issues getting past Cerulean city with nothing but a charmander, but meh... Somehow I did it. xD ...'cuz I insisted on doing so. :P I beat the entire game in a weekend while capturing all three legendary bird pokemon, mewtwo, and I happened on a suicune. It was fuckin awesome. :D
