Matilda, as she would find out via the memories that came to her, was a member of of a group of magical girl scouts known as the Lamb Scouts, who were led by a being known as The Mother Ewe. The Lamb Scouts’ chief duty was to go around and help the neighborhood in whatever way they could, ranging from conducting fundraisers to helping the community in various ways. They possessed a variety of helpful powers and skills to make this possible, and were a well known and beloved organization to the town. By helping out and doing good deeds, Lamb Scouts would also manage to obtain badges and Karma Points, and after certain milestones could use those points to obtain rewards, and even a wish once they collected enough.
Matilda was sure that she could one day get enough points and badges to allow herself to make a wish to return home to her original world.
One of Matilda’s fellow Lamb Scout members was a girl by the name of Annalise, who was actually one of her best friends. Annalise was a rather show-offy girl who loved attention, and could easily be seen as rather vain and self-absorbed. She was obsessed with having a vibrant online social life and being seen as a net idol and influencer.
At the same time, though, Annalise was willing to try her best for those around her and use what influence she had to spread community awareness. She valued Matilda’s presence in her life greatly, and wouldn’t be able to imagine life without her around. She was a bit on the weak side physically, especially compared to Matilda, and she wasn’t exactly the brightest when it came to school work.
One of Matilda’s other very close friends was a girl named Calista. Calista had a rather strange, intense fondness for bats, and used them as a motif in a lot of her stuff. Though she was always rather peppy positive, she seemed to dislike being in the sun for extended periods, claiming that the bright light bothered her eyes and that she can get sunburns very easily. She also always seemed to have an obsession with blood oranges, and seemed to have some with her at all times.
Calista was also a very bright young girl. She was always tinkering with and inventing strange devices, as well as seemingly imbuing them with magic. She was the one who helped Annalise figure out blogging and making videos. Calista also had a strange fondness for ending up in high places and seemingly appearing out of the blue.

Big spoonful of lore. Now our heroine already has a goal and means to achieve it. But, if she syncs up too much with her current self and is too fond of her "friends", I think she will care so much about life in this new world that she won't want to go back, embracing her life as Matilda and becoming one with her.
