Here we are about halfway down or so through the most difficult column of the pattern. Spent a week down in Florida at the end-ish of October with the whole family. It was very pleasant, but we were not allowed to go to the beach as they are still cleaning up after Ian. Still a very good time. Next column will reveal the other eye, but the next square will be revealing the first leaf of the right side of the pattern. It'll be a good time.

Oooh, I see now. It's still relatively new to me, but it's been convenient so I don't have to worry about fixing prior threads to the already finished stitches. This way, I just fix those threads to the back as I'm stitching. I usually remove the tails once they've been fixed by a few stitches
