I admit, Engine is such the unique character by design, I had a hard time deciding how to approach him. Normally, I simply try an angular approach to something that is already "western"… but if it’s already angular, I try and change the angle which dominantly produced it.
Engine came off very “square and rectangle” so I tried to make this version of him more curved.
I hope I made him justice, because he needed NO extra anything to pack a punch. Just perfect to begin with!
And the Background was a given. All the refs had cookies in them... how could I resist?

Ah, thank you so much Gish! You captured Engine great, It's a character I prefer to see through other folks lenses. I'm enamored with the "floaty" stripes you've done here. Rhythmic and animated!
