Tidal Mud Access Vehicle
I didn't get out too much last summer in this ride, but when I did I often got a chance to play. This is a great way to explore the tidelands and keep safe in the process. While I was playing in the mud, I had a tether to my boat, so I could easily drag it to me or vice-versa. Of course I was wearing a proper life jacket, and a full wetsuit to mitigate risk factors.

Even if I did fall over, no big deal, whats a little more mud on my wetsuit. I got really muddy that day anyway. In that cove I tethered my kayak to my life jacket and waded ashore through that deep deep mud. It was a fun challenge. A bit gooy gross, but fun all the same!
I bet if I worked at it I could get in hip deep or so. I really wasn't trying to get stuck in it, just wading slowly so I could beach my kayak enough out of the water line so It wouldn't get swept away in the changing tide. As it was, it was up to my upper thighs nearly swallowing my legs.
It truely would be if not for the fact that its sooooo close to a public walking trail, and all the waterfront homes would be getting a mud show. I'm all for a slow slog as I drag my kayak to shore, but having a good time out in the mire, in an outfit that many a mudder here would better enjoy, would be most embarrassing to say the least.
