This is basically what it actually looked like at night in bed. It's a little scarier than before right? The reason the first one was particularly "bright" was because Meri's demon eyes were lighting up the room since they were glowing. When she gave herself Poppy Playtime Nightmare eyes, they don't glow since they're almost pure black.
I think this is basically what gave me the fear when it happened...
