Within moments, of touching the water, it seemed to... enter him. He felt the figure embracing him, holding him tight. Knowledge, wisdom, emotion, feeling, strength, all of it. Carved into his head. He felt his body swelling, soon no longer holding a human.

He was now more than human.

He was a snapping turtle crossed with an alligator. A literal alligator snapping turtle. But also a man. A lumbering beast. A form befitting for battle. A body for others to break themselves upon. He stood in the water, no longer clad in the vestments of man. The lantern was crushed in his scaly hand, like it was nothing.

This was him, now....

The reflection showed his true self. Who he was chosen to be. With the moon revealing what was long passed down, and long concealed.
