I like to think of my characters as extensions of certain aspects of myself. For instance, Seemir represents the stories I tell and the worlds I create through them. Jaanada and Zosma represent my fascinations for all things science fiction and fantasy (if in an indulgent kind of way, especially in the case of the latter). Rodaph and Varna the ideals of what I'd do if I was in a more fortunate situation. But no one particular character represents who I am as a person, and... well, let's just say I may have gone full furry at last. Finally I have an OC who I'd say would be the best 'sona' or 'self-insert' for whatever I'd want to see myself in. And, much like many of my other characters, both referenced and not, Ozark is not meant to be part of any one setting, let alone in a significant manner save for my 'Omnai' setting.

I know, shocking that 'AnotherDangerNoodle' isn't taking a 'sona that's, well, a 'danger noodle'. I'll be looking to fix that. Why a red panda specifically? Because 1. they're lazy, lonely, eat a lot, and do weird shit when startled, just like me, and 2. because I think they're frickin' adorable. Fite me.

So as a guideline, what would Ozark be doing, and what would he be like? Well, for starters, I imagine him being indulgent in many of my own personal likes and hobbies, but I'm thinking as a living he'd be involved in logistics to some extent. In my Omnai setting, I currently have him penned in as a space trucker owning a 'relatively' medium-sized (read: a couple kilometers long) manufacturing and carrier ship for civil infrastructure and space station modules. In any other setting, he could head a caravan, manage a warehouse, or run an underground distribution network. Things of that sort. As a person, I imagine him to be a very jaded kind of person, has his ups and downs but is overall not happy with how life was handed to him yet still trying to make the most of it. For hobbies and interests, pretty identical to myself - cars, tech, games, guns, and the like.

For any special abilities where it's an option, I imagine him having primarily gravity powers, actually. Telekinesis is fun and all, but gravity is a lot more efficient at self-levitation and at moving lots of larger objects - especially in my Omnai setting, where he is a fully certified sorcerer with an emphasis on gravity-based magic. Plus, it helps limit the indulgence factor when around my more established OCs, letting them shine where they're meant to. Other powers will include super-breath (namely gale-force breath), true omnivorism, a very long tongue that isn't characteristic of a red panda at all, and size-shifting... yes, Ozark can (and most definitely will) be in not just macro situations, but micro as well - a first for me.

Also for those who care, he uses 'he/him' pronouns in both forms when referring to himself, but he doesn't pitch a hissy fit if he's called 'she' in his intersex form from time to time. I know I will make that mistake lol

Again, a massive shout-out to  miraoff for making Ozark's formal reference! The purple pads I think do a great job breaking up the abyssal void that is his arms and legs (they'd be black in places where it wouldn't be entirely explainable, though), and I really like how the green complements the orange and maroon. One of my more colorful/"neon-barf" characters, but hey, at least he's color-matched :D
