The borg and dog sighed a little as they looked outside, it was pouring heavily which had ruined their day, they were planning on having a fun time at the city fair, but it was close down due to poor weather. They were bored out of their mind, there was nothing good on TV and both weren't feeling up to play video game, as they had done so almost all day.

They were about to give in and simply watch television until the borg had a wonderful idea, "hey Jake, remember that pizza place where we had our first date?" The borg said, his tail wagging with excitement at the rush of nostalgia that hit him thinking about his first date with his now boyfriend.

"Oh, that one on newlight street? Yeah, it was a fune date" he smiled, his tail wagging along with his boyfriend's "buuuut why are you bringing this up? The golden retriever asked, unsure where Honey was going with this.The hybrid smiled brightly, "how about we go back there today? Just to relieve a nice memory, it's not like we have anything better to do" he giggled which made Jake smiled and gently scratch his lover's chin awwing internally as he saw honey's foot bounce a bit "why not, that's sounds quite fun."

Having agreed to the date, the two went to get themselves ready, both deciding to go for a more casual look, Honey ended up wearing a black t-shirt with a tuxedo motif in front and blue jeans, while Jake went for his green t-shirt with the Triforce and black jeans, which coincidentally was what the duo had worn for their first date together.

Once they were clothed and had their raincoats on along with their umbrella just in case, the duo began their walk toward the restaurant, honey smiled, his paw intertwined with his lover's much smaller paw, reminding him of how afraid he was to hold Jake's paw at first, he was so worried to break it due to how small it was compared to his.

Jake smiled lovingly at his gentle giant, as the borg had a rather childish yet heartwarming habit of walking in every puddles to make them splash, heh the dog felt pretty silly to have been so intimated by Honey at first due to his imposing size.

The boyfriends both recalled their past together, in a loving silence as they softly squeezed the other's paw three times, their own way of saying I love you, without the need for words.

Eventually, they reached the restaurant of their first date, Steven's pizza place, the favorite place for broke teenagers to come have a quick bite they entered and were quickly placed at a table and given menus, but a simple eye contact and they both smiled at each other knowing what they would take.

"A simple cheese pizza with fries and fried onions along with extra marinara sauce!" They said in pure unison making them both chuckled "man, I can't believe you still remember what we had on our first date with your terrible memory" Jake said poking fun at his lover's sometimes awful memory, the bear pouted and faked being offended "how rude of you to think I wouldn't remember the meal I shared with the love of my life!" He said an obviously faked ton making his adorable golden lover laugh even more, heh he always loved how joyful the golden retriever was.

"Well, I'm not the one who forgot my keys and got myself locked out of our apartment....twice might I add~" the smaller dog said giggling at the adorable blush that came across his lover's face as he remembered the rather embarrassing events "h-heh alright fine, fine, but I'm not the one that accidentally told grim about his surprise birthday party" he giggled making the golden retriever also blush "ahhhh don't remind me Rex was so pissed at me hehe" he said sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.

They two lovers kept going back and forth laughing at their silly mistakes, never once was it done out of malice, instead it was done to lovingly poke fun at the one they loved dearly, once the food arrived however they ended the back and forth to enjoy their food.

The borg hungrily devoured his food making lover chuckle and eventually asked him to bend forward, Honey titled his head confused but did as he was asked, Jake smiled before he gently licked the pizza sauce off of Honey's cheek making the hybrid's face become a deep red, the dog couldn't help but giggled remembering out during their first date, he was the one that had gotten so flustered when the borg removed some sauce off his cheek with thumb.

The two were sharing a great night, sharing past experiences and hope for the future, until Honey asked Jake an important question, "Hey, love, do you remember what I did after the end of our first date?" Jake pondered until he remembered that, after their first date, the borg reached into his pocket, and gave the dog a wonderful looking rose, he remembered feeling so flustered yet so happy.

"Well, if I remember correctly, you gave me a rose" the borg smiled and nodded happily "well, I have something for you once more, but you have to close your eyes ok?" Jake was about to ask why, but giggled and simply rolled along with it, feeling the wind his lover paw's made as he shook it in front of his face to see his eyes were truly closed hehe.

After a minute or so, honey took a deep breath "ok, you can open your eyes now" the golden retrieve smiled and opened his eyes...which started to fill with tears as before him, he saw his boyfriend, now on one knee, with a ring in paw, the borg was smiling brightly "Jake, I love you so much, you've been with me trough think and thin, and I truly believe that you've made me the happiest I've ever been, would you do me the honor of marrying me?" Jake was taken aback before he tightly embraced his lover and hid his red face in his neck, the borg felt the warm tears of his lover wet his neck as he tightly hugged him back.

Once the dog was calmed down, he sniffled softly and looked at his boyfriend...no...fiancé deep in his beautiful green eyes and mustered the two words that would forever unite them as they tightly embraced where they meet for the very first time "I do"
