John sat proudly next to his grandfather, who was waiting for new members.
- Grandpa, are you sure you're going to be okay?
The cat was very worried, for Blitz was on his way to them, wanting to show Exile and Hunter that he, too, could make it big. And Colleen was with him, and John hoped to protect her from the narcissistic Doberman's advances.
Snow turned to his grandson.
- Don't worry, boy. I'll help you, and I'm not the only one.
Just then a chimera of enormous stature, with malachite fur and amber eyes, approached them.
- Valentine.
He held out his hand to John. The cat shook it gladly.
- Glad to make your acquaintance. I see that you are very kind.
Valentine was embarrassed.
- That's the way your grandfather made me. I wouldn't let anyone hurt you. And Hiro is under my protection, too.
John put his arm around the chimera.
- Thank you. I'm glad you're my friend.
Snow smiled.
- Okay, guys, let's go decorate our plane, because the guests will be here soon.
- Yes, sir!
