That is very different. I actually like it. A lot of "green"-ness, that sounds a bit unusual to my english-speaking ears. Maybe it doesn't sound strange in Dutch.

Interesting how the Dutch version softens the line "life is brief, but when it's gone". It is the the crux of the song. I love it, but sometimes it feels too poignant.

The green part makes no sense to us. Or at least not to me. Comparing love to grass and/or the colour green is weird. It's the weirdest part of the translation. Love stays like she was is a weird line as well. You sorta get what they are going for with that line (something along the lines of love will always be the same or love will always be love), but its just a very weird way to say it.
