Ok.
This is my commission for the amazingly talented and incredibly nice Dee Dreslough of [link]
Go see her art and get a copy of her book, Dimar: Lost Waters. Its very good and I love my signed copy that she sketched in for me :D
<3 Dee
This is one of my favorite scenes from her book. This is the scene where Luuko (the big green guy in the middle), fighting the numerous fires that spring up during the Fire Season on Dimar, notices a falling star.
It isn't a star...

it's a _very_ small world, you know...
i searched for the author of 'a white dragoness taking into flight right out of the icy lake' picture for about 2 years now.
this is the third picture i've ever redrawn in my still ongoing 'learn how to draw' process. and her sketches help _a_lot_
but i find the site to be extremely outdated(in technology, i mean). i feel so grateful to her for her art, that i want to help her. i'm really good in php+mysql+javascript+css.
do you know if she's interested? and do you have her contacts? i kind of failed to locate them ...

sorry for the lack of comment in my previuos post.
this is a quite contravertial picture indeed. i look at the blue and the yellow dragons, which are drawn with 'fuzzy next to none' edges. and then the others on which the line work is clearly visible. in fact the whole top-left portion of the picture seems to be drawn in a different style. are you trying out a new style? anyway i really like the contrast it makes in this picture

i get the picture now... still a bit confuzed thou.
wouldn't the smoke then be distorted by the heat waves too? be all 'torn apart', with patches of ash and some areas of the forest visible through? and if the fire would be far enouth to actually be able to distort anything, would the figures still be blurred? the heat waves deteriorate very quickly over distance ...
i'm just curiuos...
