Been really busy. Busier than I thought I'd be... Went to a diner earlier, and of course, whenever I go anywhere and I'm bored as hell, I get an itchy drawing hand. I drew this while we were waiting on food. I don't often use a pen to draw with, but my friend happened to only have a pen on her, since I failed to remember my pencils. ._.'
lol ...and the waitress was crushing on me bad. Before we left, she asked if I would give this to her as her tip. xD

Love your stuff, but then again, who doesn't? Squares, exactly. My favorite is the one up the right, in the hoodie. I love his expression, it's so laid back.
I recently went to an art show, which was heaven for me. I was face to face with many rough, hipster, urban, free and amazing artists. There was a lot of stuff I bought from there, and one woman, whose original Christmas cards were painted beautifully, asked me if I drew. I had some art on me, I bring the stuff everywhere in a book bag, so I showed her. I told her I stopped leaving my stuff in pencil, that I outline in Sharpie because I didn't like the way it faded when left alone or when my hand dragged across it. It looked so clean when done in Sharpie.
She told me she worked in pencils, Sharpies, and pens. I cringed when she said pens. She took out her phone and showed me pictures of her practice with pens and Sharpies. She said working with those alone has you learn to work with what you think are mistakes. I learned a lot that day. If maybe you want any of the artists websites, I'd be happy to give them to you.
LOL Sorry for the ramble, but when I saw how you said your friend only had pens, it made me think of them.

Oh no, it's fine. C: I love long comments... She's right about that. When you work with pen, you can't erase your mistakes. Sometimes your 'mistakes' make you do something cool that you would never have done if you worked in any other medium.
If I was doing something simple and cartoony, or if I wanted to outline something, sharpie is the way to go. It won't fade, and it's a great permanent marker. Just be advised, I've used it a few times to darken things, and it's a warm black, not a cool black. It has a purplish tint/shade to it. I once used it to blacken some scratchboard when I made a pretty big mistake, and it forever looked purplish in that one spot. xD I probably should have used paint.
But for a marker on paper, it's great!
When I was little, all I'd ever draw in was marker. At this point, I haven't used it in years... ._. Perhaps I ought to pick up some next time I'm in an art supply store...
