He truly must enjoy the winter - cold is his element and friend. The storms hide him from a uncareful prey and conceal his movement, the blanket of snow and icy caves can provide the shelter and hideouts from the curios eyes and danger (though i think they are no creatures in his region that can do anything to him), the falling snow covers the footsteps so he can avoid the detection... All pluses and almost no cons... But the one that means a lot still exists. Cold enviroment requires a lot of energy and thus many food. More energy - more prey to hunt and eat required.
But somehow i think it is also not a problem to him - he is tricky and sly predator and have his own methods of hunting. But i also think when he is sated he also can be quite nice being to stick with... Or rather a CHILL guy

He is usually very nice with those that visit, but indeed if he is hungry depending who could be teases of maws and more or end up and a meal.
