It would have been a much more interesting plot. That a teenager with hormones through the roof from an accident with the portal and very sporadic fragments of a genie's ectoplasm becomes a half-genie ghost boy. Something like Shantae but sexier and with more sinister powers that would affect the hero's morale and runs the risk of becoming corrupted and becoming an evil genie with absolute power and who sees humans as mere insects who are only there to make wishes and thus increase their magical powers.
