Los Iluminados needed new super-powered guard-dogs and so got a wolf from the nearby woods and infected it with a plaga. Several complications: the wolf was pregnant, and they used a plaga intended for humans. These resulted in some mild anthropomophization and marked increase in intelligence of the subject and new plaga-infected wolves. Not that the cult is complaining.
