A rare moment of a repeat event happening within an hour of a previous event.

Leaving Tails to recover at Vanilla's house, Sonic sped on ahead to see what else had changed in all the time he had been gone. As he got closer to the village proper, he spotted a flash of something. It was a familiar color, one that he had seen and yet only one person had ever had that color and really mattered to him.
He however lost track of where he was going, nearly speeding himself into both a a house and then a crowd of people. The Blue Blur didn't spend years fighting evil only to hurt someone back home. He skidded to a stop and gave a hop over a low wall.
In the moment he remembered why he had lost his focus. He remembered her, Amy. That girl that always chased him, he smiled, it'd be nice to catch up with her. So, he sped off, looking for her again, and yet now that he searched, he couldn't find her. He started walking normally, actually walking, when he bumped into a familiar colored, but unfamiliar shape.
Amidst apologies and attempts at steadying the unknown woman, Sonic stepped back, looking around as the woman turned to face him. When he turned to properly greet the young lady, raising his hand with a simple word. The woman gasped, dropping the bag she carried.
In that moment Sonic found the girl that had chased him, and the woman that never forgot him. He understood why Tails had frozen for now if not for his nerves of steel he'd have frozen himself. Here stood Amy Rose, now a beautiful young lady. Neither of them ever really forgot, but now maybe they could move on to something new together.
