Here's the prototype doll I finished up tonight, a vixen! She's for sale, PM me with an offer if you're interested :) I will be at FC so I can hand-deliver it there if need be.
Since she's a prototype, I gotta warn you that she's rather top heavy and you need to be careful with her neck. I have ideas on how to solve this with future dolls so that the neck area isn't so fragile, but yeah, this one's wobbly. I'm also planning on giving her muzzle a good painting before shipping her out. She's somewhat poseable though!
I will be offering custom commissions for these dolls soon. I'm not quite sure what to charge yet (what would you pay?), but I can do custom eyecolors, lashes, and add hair. They are quite a bit of work and do require certain supplies be ordered so please keep that in mind. :)
Anywho, please watch my journal if you're interested in a commission. I'll post when I'm ready to open up. :)

I can't afford anything at the moment ... But ... I'll throw my 2 cents in anyway...
If I bought it from a store, I might pay anywhere between 10 and 20 dollars.
If I bought it custom made from an individual, I might spend well up to 50 dollars, maybe higher.
Since it wasn't massed produced, I say an average of 35 dollars. About the same as I would charge for one of my standard paintings.

I'm planning on doing hands and feet in clay on future dolls (which should also help with the proportions a tad) My problem with this one is I attached the head before adding the hands/feet and then realized what a problem it was going to be, so I just left those open.
Obligatory zomg thanks for watch :D

Well isn't she a little cutie?
Honestly, I'd love to buy her, (I love foxes!) but shipping from the US to the UK would make the cost rediculous :(
$15 in materials is a lot though, for such a small vixen. Have you tried craft trading websites? My sister makes a lot of cloth brooches and they can get heaps of materials quite cheaply. I'll ask where from if it'll help :)
Also, paws of claw wouldn't be nearly so cuddly :( I'd suggest keeping to cloth ones if at all possible :)

I agree, she's very cute; I just feel the need to point out that the US Postal Service offers a flat-rate shipping of a priority mail small box (8 5/8" x 5 3/8" x 1 5/8") for $13.45 (see here: http://www.usps.com/prices/priority.....nal-prices.htm ).
I'm terrible with money, because in my head it's all meaningless numbers, so I don't know if that's too much. Just trying to offer options.

She's adorable! I can see a lot of people buying those from you :)
As for pricing, you have to factor in material cost, of course, then trying and put a price on the time it took (difficult, I know :/), and still choose a price that people will pay. I, personally, am something of a penny-pincher, so I'd probably only pay up to $35-40. However, I'm sure you'll find people willing to pay more.
As a general rule, people will pay more for characters they recognize and care about (that is to say, a Vinci or Arty or Bashful doll would fetch a higher price) and they will pay much more for custom dolls.
