So, I was kind of working out the story as I went along. I knew certain scenes I wanted to get art for to give me the chance to tell this story, but I got so focused on the TF aspect of it that I didn't realize until quite late into this that there was one moment that I needed to tell for this to be complete. It doesn't have any tf in it, but it's very important to really convey the full scope of consequences for what Tiffany's done up to this point.
Tiffany has basically been tricked into giving away her own freedom. True, her parents made their mistakes, and perhaps her father did have bad intentions for wanting Tiffany to learn to use witchcraft, but they were her parents. They did care, even if they were selfish and often valued their own desires over showing her.
But Frau Hildegarde set them up for this. She knew that Tiffany, as a young girl thrilled to have these powers, would impulsively misuse them without grasping the consequences. And now, just to ensure that Tiffany is fully in her control, she's weaved a web of half-truths and cruel lies to make Tiffany feel like she is the only one who cares.
It's a dark story, yeah. I said up front, I love strong contrast with my tf material and this is some of the strongest contrast I've ever made. Cute characters, cartoony art, juxtaposed with a tale of a wicked witch destroying a family for her own goals. They're all her captives now, but the worst part of it is that Tiffany is too naive to realize the part she's played in her own kidnapping.
Is this the end? For now, yes. I do have some ideas for the future, but I need to refine the story. As a set up, though, I think this is good. All the characters are laid out. The relationships are established. The antagonist's evil plan is made clear and we're all on the same page about what needs to be done to set things right. Her parents might be in a glass enclosure, but it's Tiffany who's been caged and she's the only one who can get herself out of it. What comes next is the struggle for Tiffany to not just escape the dark world she's become trapped in, but realize that she is trapped in the first place.
I hope that the dive into this really dark place will make her eventual escape into the light all the more satisfying, but we'll have to see how that turns out in the future.

I have a couple more pics to post for Witchtober, but they're not canon to this set-up, or not related to Tiffany's story. I hope you're enjoying this Witchtober. One week left to go.
