It reminds me of an old comedy bit. To paraphrase:
"You ever see a sheep walking around with a pack of wolves, and he's chill and comfortable and not scared of being a midnight snack? He's the one you have to watch out for. Cause little wooly fluffball had to do SOMETHING to earn the respect of a bunch of apex predators and bring the wolves to heel."
Really cool picture. I personally get the sense that the sheep is the brain and the wolves are the brawn. The wolves know they are expendable, but the sheep is the one that matters.
