The Ursaring kicks the trainer’s Espeon again and the Rocket members laugh again, one of them grabbing an Override ball and readying to throw it. I have to make my move now and I remember a line Maria said on our first excursion. I don’t have to keep their pokemon from getting hurt. Just from getting caught. So as they throw the ball I dash right between the two and bat the ball away with my tail, using some of my momentum to help knock the trainer’s pokemon away. And then turn and with a flick of power knock the Rocket’s pokemon away, giving us some room. I take a quick glance at everything and thankfully the espeon doesn’t seem to be inclined on attacking me back, nor does the Raichu and the Rocket members are too startled by my appearance to react quickly. This is exactly what we need. The more time I can buy the better. Unfortunately simply escaping may not be an option. If any of them have quick attack they could keep up with me. And they could catch up to Maria very easily. Even if I used her ball and got away, there is still the issue of them going after the trainers again, let alone forfeiting any pokemon that were already stolen.
