Well Chinook came up with a neat idea for a new alien species. After him using it in an RP and hearing more about it I loved it too. So I thought I'd go ahead and draw a Marjluka of my own. So now for Species data and data on Albert here.

The Marjluka are a small mammalian species native to the Pieces Cluster. A recently open region of space they are but one of many sentient species inhabiting the cluster. They are small nimble creatures with highly acute senses. Their species are descended from ship board vermin common to the cluster. Their species achieved sentience towards the end of the Vintari Empire. They are found through out the cluster on various ships and stations. Though despite their sentience they were and in many cases still are viewed as vermin by other native species. There are many tales of Marjluka meeting their fate by being blown out an air lock by the crew of the ship they were on and many other accounts of cruelty. All of these have motivated the Marjluka to be as perceptive as possible. They are quite intelligent and able to avoid detection. They are skilled techs as well which aides them in their stealthy life styles. They seem to be able to fix almost anything. Marjluka culture is that of traveling family groups. They have no unified government. On occassion a large band of them may make a settlement though on an abandoned station. These however do not tend to last long as often times they are shooed off from it by locals. Due to their traveling nature they treat everything as a precious resource as they never know when they'll come across it again. Marjluka naming is often a result of the area in which they are born in or near.

For example. Albert is a relatively young Marjluka. Having been born around human ships his parents gave him a human name. Choosing the first name of a genius from human history. Albert here hopes to liv up to his name sake. He is an intelligent resourceful person with some of the best technical skills you could ask for. On his left hand is a mini computer tool that he custom built himself. Ailbert's only shortcoming is his lack of continence. This is the result of an instance of cruelty towards his familly when they were discovered aboard cargo ship. Albert and his family survived the incident and were put off at the next port. Albert doesn't like to talk about that incident. He has adjusted to his condition and doesn't mind it much. he spends much of his time in front of a holoscreen anyway. So the diapers are at least convenient as well as cheap given he can wear child sizes of other species. At present Albert is seen here walking through the maintinance ducts of a station on his way to a temporary nest he's made for himself with access to all the station's data feeds.
