Day 22 of Toontober!

Today's theme was Heist!

It's always been interesting to me that, despite how iconic the tommy gun's drum magazine is, the stick magazines were actually much more popular. The drum could hold fifty bullets, but it was a lot clumsier to reload, and when you were putting bullets into an empty one it needed to be wound up as well, like a clock. Meanwhile, the stick magazines were easier to use and, although they only held 30 rounds, you could carry more of them in the same space.

But the drum magazine just looks so much cooler and more distinctive.
