Just a bit of scale comparison - Iskatel = player character's starship.
The Murmansk Naval Shipyards- Currently under construction around the innermost of the Neu Samara's two gas giants. Facing the viewer are its two massive cargo bay doors for pressurize-able space-docks (5kton capacity ea). The third 5kton hanger faces off to the left. Five 1kton hangers also face the viewer beneath the two larger ones. To 'crew' the station, its defenses etc. a complement of 476 naval personnel is required. Its 2000 staterooms however, allow for a variety of construction and service personnel to live on base. Fuel purification plants, fuel reserve tanks, 'oilers' (shuttles specifically designed to scoop hydrogen from the nearby gas giant), recreational facilities, and provisions for 50 light fightercraft are also included. Though the backbone of the station is TL10, the length of time required to build the Murmansk Shipyard facility encompasses so many changes that some systems are retrofitted several times before its completion.
Sentinel Stations - Once erected, Sentinels are jumped as cargo via a Matryoshka class open frame transport to each star system that Neu Samara's transports and military craft have to pass through, functioning as emergency way stations, communication relays, claim markers and deep space monitoring stations. While not large enough to be classed as anything but primitive starports, they do have 60+ extra staterooms, a small naval exchange store, a complement of emergency repair and rescue small craft and facilities, and enough cargo to remain self sufficient for at least 6 months without refueling, and 3 to 4 months on internal food stores. More than 20 are to be built before larger, higher tech, replacements come on line post 2210 AD.
The two starships pictured are small (100dton) Caravan class trade scouts. The other small craft pictured are station defense fighters.
