good job, I may try a side view. Am not good at drawing the "hair" at top of head and I'm not used to drawing eyes so big (they are cute that way though)

Seems easy enough. I can do this by basically:
* Age Tails up about three years
* Put clothes on him
* Change colors
* Neglect to draw the second tail

Note that none of this is to be insulting; you can make a similar list for turning Felix the Cat into Sonic, and Sonic into almost any animal character in that series. I like this style, and it's a lot broader (and older) than some people give it credit for.
