Nemrod a mutant-hunting robot from the post-apocalyptic future where professor Charles Xavier's mind was sent to eradicate mutants starting with Apocalypse but he managed to neutralize him easily and reprogram him to get rid of the X-Men representing a threat to his plan to dominate the world by eradicating the non-mutants
Nemrod infiltrated under the guise of Cyclops and used electronic inhibitor necklaces that could neutralize the mutants' powers and make them as vulnerable as humans, trapped all the students at the institute and then attacked Jean Grey, Storm and Shadowcat by sequestering them in the danger room at a deadly simulation while being securely bound/gagged where the walls slowly retracted, an ordeal for Storm due to her claustrophobia.
