Well, that's kinda of strange that Thael would sit and talk with Charc for a couple of hours then all the sudden decide to eat him when the help arrives. I wonder, why he would bother to get info out of him, perhaps to learn more about the area before killing of the messenger, how cruel. Still, the idea of an future threat coming is a bit disturbing, though, I can see why the story would continue like this. I still wonder why these Pokemon can't just live peacefully with the others that inhabit Charizard Valley.
