A definite nod to Grimm for the inspiration for this project.

The title is a fancy way of saying " This is how I'm going to spend my spare time for a while. "

This will be a full blown rebuild of the game mesh used for Cynder in the DOTD episode of the Spyro series. An existing mesh is out there, but it is in an absolute horrific state. Thus, I figured I would try to rebuild her in Softimage | XSI. I consider my modeling skills mediocre at best, so this will be good practice for me :D

The ( overly ) ambitious plan is to remodel the character, rebuild the UV layout and texture maps and probably even try to rig her. The mesh will be rebuilt to be Zbrush friendly, so it may even see some sculpting and detail work done before it's all over with.

This is the end result of Day 1 of the project. ( I'm slow to model :D )

I am already predicting some issues I'm going to have to solve in her wings. That being how to fold the leathery portion up when the wing supports fold back. Tomorrow I'll tackle the rear legs and start on her head. Will post updates as I can.
