And now for my annual *"Pentober" Halloween project: an adaptation of JRR Tolkien's "hobbit" poem The Mewlips, from the book "The Adventures of Tom Bombadil."

A little background on the book: "The Adventures of Tom Bombadil" is a short collection of poems most of which supposedly written by the Hobbits of the Shire (including some by Bilbo Baggins and Sam Gamgee), three of which appear as is in the "Lord of the Rings." It is cannon as far as Middle Earth is concerned, but it could be considered as "extra credit" material; you won't be missing too much knowledge of lore if you haven't read it, except as a pleasureable distraction.
