Fall is upon us
Well everyone, Fall is most definitely here. The chill in the mornings, the falling leaves, and the wind. Well the wind's not here yet, but I just know thats right around the corner.
My Mud Season is over. I think I did pretty fair this time around, got a few good scenes and shared with you'all a few adventures. I have a few pics still to post of me on my adventures, but for the most part, I'm done till mid spring/summer.
This pause will give me time to scheme up new outfits and locations... And muddy stories to share with everyone here!!!

I live in Washington state (western Washington loosely) and I must say it is one of the most beautiful places. I can be on the coast looking at the ocean, and within an hour be scraping the sky in the mountains. If I cross the mountains, I can be in the high desert and canyon lands still in state.
The muddy places I took pictures of earlier on in the summer was a bit of tidal mud. (that area becomes more or less off-limits due to early season waterfowl hunting) at the end of summer. So I move to the woods for more muddy fens and woodland swamps.

It is certainly beautiful territory to travel abouts. I will however warn that dear gosh in heck property prices are outrageous unless you’re way out in the sticks. Our household has been on the prowl for a larger chunk of property that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg + one lung or parts.
If ya see something reasonably priced, check it first against the USGS flood potential map.
Alot of beautiful homes and property just hit the market recently because of the record flooding this area had last year.

This one is a seasonal stream and we are at the tail end of a drought thus the water-flow being next to nothing, but, rainy season is coming. There is a lake above, and below this watercourse. I can see the resemblance to an oxbow or horse-shoe lake, but there are no local rivers in this vicinity. As for slew's and what they may bring, the deep mud, is actually something that a mud-hunter like myself is often into.
Whenever I'm exploring a new swamp, I do take precautions such as others knowing my wearabouts, a phone, a map, and quite often a life jacket, perhaps even a kayak if I can find a good place to put-in at.
