Some history and facts; Madi was born in an aquarium belonging to a rich man who kept mers and other underwater creatures as pets. As he grew he found out that eh had a different ability, he could change his size at will, though he could only grow to 35 feet long. He practised his ability as he grew and after some years managed to escape the aquarium, though having never hunted in his life he soon became half starved from failing to catch anything. As he searched desperately for food he unknowingly swam into another mer’s territory, and soon found himself face to face with Malestrom, who’s size made him feel tiny. Malestrom felt pity for the thin young mer and took him in, training him in hunting and stalking fish and other food around their home sea. Like Malestrom Madi realized he could take human form, and also an anthro ish form as well. Malestrom soon introduced him to his human friend as well, and the two soon became friends, Madi’s own more humanised behaviour making it easier for him to speak with the boy than it was for Malestrom. The three of them often go swimming and such in the water, the two mer letting the human hang onto their backs so that he don’t need to swim. Madi have a playful and gentle nature which makes him less of a threat towards humans than Malestrom, since Madi likes to speak with people, though he hates poachers and bad men.
