The goo squelches around you as you try to get out from under it, but you feel like you're melting, as though you're becoming a pile of slime yourself. Your insides feel like they're boiling, a heat spreading across your body as you pant and try to struggle. Yet it seems no use, and your vision is fading.
You try as hard as you can, fighting to stay amidst what almost seems to be wisps of others lost within. When you start to emerge however, it's no longer as a human, and you aren't alone. Another form joins you, splitting from you, already forming a tail and paws almost impatiently, yet without eyes quite yet. Yours are partially blocked, and perhaps that should panic you, but you can see just fine with one.
You blink slowly at your new companion, who grabs onto your own forming paws with a pleased expression. You smile hesitantly, forming tail curling around the air with shy delight. At least you aren't alone anymore...
