Another something in the spirit of Halloween, but this one has more of a story behind it.
About 4 years ago, I had a dream:
I was walking through a warehouse full of yellow-brown machinery, looking for something. After a short while, I found a bag sitting on top of a table. When I reached inside the bag, I was holding the head of a wolf - but just the outer parts of it, like a mask. I looked inside the bag again, and saw that there were several more of these things sitting inside. The eyes were missing on the mask/head I was holding, and in their place was this filmy layer that was so dark it seemed like you could sink into it and never be found again. I remember one of my fingers poking into the film, and even after it went through the thin, slimy membrane, I couldn't see to the other side.
Suddenly I became panicked, even though nothing new had appeared in the dream world. But it seemed like I had realized something important and terrifying. The perspective at this point shifted away from me and onto the table, as if a camera was watching me while I dropped the bag and ran off to the right (my left). The last thing this camera saw, before the dream ended, was something moving between the machinery in the now unobstructed background. It was one of the wolf masks - but this one seemed to be alive, and attached to a full (and empty like the masks) body. Despite the lack of eyes, it seemed to be staring directly into the camera.
And that was the dream. Sure it kinda sounds like a bad creepypasta on paper, but this was one of the most "real feeling" dreams I've ever had. I haven't had any similar dreams since then, but this one still creeps me out a bit whenever I'm reminded of it, and I know it'll be a hard one to ever forget about. Happy spook season!
