OK, now I'm picturing a blind guy riding in the back of a car that gets pulled over for unsafe driving. Po-po finds a robotic dog in the driver's seat. Po-po looks to the guy in the back.
"This your dog, sir?"
"Nope, my seeing eye dog is at the vet. This one's a loaner."
"It was driving erratically."

I think he just likes teasing the masses... I mean... in the beginning they all said he was a nut job and never going to make it - and now look - he is completely changing space travel, road travel, and robotics; all the while giving the finger to politics... plus he does good lights...

*smiles... just read an article - apparently Tesla's auto-pilot does not like motorcycles. Imagine that; AI is already busy killing people. On the news tonight, our political yahoos are now all wanting to get battery production going in the USA. Imagine that.

after riding one down here in traffic for 7 years long ago, I will absolutely agree... I had one lady begin pulling into my space when we were sitting still at a light on a secondary road. I didn't even hit the horn (buzzy stupid little thing that it was), I just looked at her and said loudly, 'Lady!' She in turn said, 'Oh!' and pulled back into her lane.

I can certainly see the attraction, they look like fun, but yes just a little too dangerous for my liking. My parents were reasonably relaxed but had some very strict rules*, one of them was that myself and my brother were not allowed to have a motorbike. I was in my late twenties and walking past a motorbike shop when I had the sudden thought, hey I'm an adult, I can buy one of those if I want. Never felt the desire to actually go ahead though.
*one of which is we weren't allowed to say we were bored, ohhh boy you did not use that word and it always makes me lower my opinion of someone when I hear them saying it.
