I had the thought the other day of what are some rival creatures to the dragon. In my curiosity I began to search and soon discovered the Ichneumon. They believe the real Ichneumon was more like a mongoose, an Egyptian Mongoose more specifically. Mongooses are known for their vicious bites at snakes. Now I know my depiction is quite beyond anything that resembles a mongoose, but my thought process was this, "if the dragon can be viewed as an advanced snake-serpent type creature, why can't a mongoose be made more fantastical and beyond?" I took initial inspirations from the few depictions I had seen online, and then from gnolls and werewolves to make a more anthropomorphized creature. I wanted the Ichneumon to be a vicious looking as they are meant to be dragon slayers afterall!

So as I was conceptualizing my idea of an Ichneumon, stated that he actually really liked the character and wanted to take it up as a character for the dream realm story stuff; make Krask' a playful rival to Ayalisk in the dream realm. Of course I was happy to oblige and here we are, a new character is created, welcome Krask'nachlar . ^..^ Hope you like him my sweet King as much as me and hope to enjoy some stories and art together with him! ^..^
