Stepping into the magic circle, Indigo's mind raced with all of the possibilities of what he could possibly become. Something stretchy? Something bouncy? Something scaly?

Please no insects... I'm begging you... he thought to nothing in particular.

Before his thoughts could continue, he felt himself swallowed up into the light of the magic as the power took hold of him.

When the magic circle cleared away, Indigo was surprised to find himself floating a few feet above the ground!!! At first he panicked and flapped and squawked, but then something in his mind clicked into place and he let his instincts take over as a glided gracefully to a landing. Just before he touched down, however, he let out another squawk... then another, as his gaze darted around the new enlarged room.

What caught his attention, however, was getting a look at his new feet... and the new, sharp talons that came with them.

In his surprise, Indigo discovered that he was moving, standing, and even SPEAKING in a different way... something completely new to him, and yet this body felt like it had been doing it all its life. He could feel his brain well-adapted to the mechanics and instincts of flying, and he understood a wealth of knowledge about what to eat, how to get it, and how to avoid being hunted by wild (and not-so-wild) animals.

A bird. now that was something he'd never tried.
