If I was working with Sony? I'd AT LEAST keep Smiler, to turn her into the main villain for a "Ratchet & Clank" video game...in a setting that takes place on a planet where most people that live on it ARE lombaxes! (Implying them not to be endangered or extinct!)
And being a more open-world experience, there's no traveling between planets, on this one. But to make up for it? A very colorful planet that's bright, colorful, and with SO much different climates & environments! (I'd also have Rivet & Kit return, as well!)
