Anyway, I do like critique, so I gotta say a really big thank you for this long essay.
Honestly, I sort of lost you when you got to the part of adding a later to do color. Do you just copy the line work to another layer and fill in the color?
And you're totally right about extending the time of him turning his head. I realize he seems to just be shaking his head.
And I really lack references for quadraped movement. I don't have a dog and neither do I have friends who own a dog. I had some trouble syncronising the hind legs to the front. Now that you mention that it's the hind legs that lead the walking, I think I get it now.
