There are two layers to the pie, a top and bottom. You take a pie crust and fill it with a molasses mixture, then you pour a flour/sugar crumb on top of that. The crumbs soak into molasses but mostly float on top. After baking you have a nice thick soft and gooey bottom layer with a crunchy top. It's fairly sweet. Try some. :D
